We are the grassroots group that represents the students at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Vienna. Our grassroots group is defined by our principles, most importantly the grassroots democracy. What does that mean? News about the Mensapickerl

The Mensapickerl, which makes the food in some university cafeterias cheaper, does not work at the OMP cafeteria anymore! Furthermore, the access to a Mensapickerl has been restricted.

The best way to contact us is to send a mail to stv.mathematik@oeh.univie.ac.at. During the building opening hours you can usually find us in the Vektor-Raum (1.136) especially during the Plenum, but if you have specific concerns, it is best to visit our counselling hours. At the listed times someone is sure to be in the office (1.135) to help you. During counselling hours you can also call us, our phone number is 01-4277-19660 .

Counselling hours:

Our counselling hours (also called Journaldienst, JD for short) are an offer for students who have any questions about studying or student life. Every semester, there are certain times during which one of us is in the office and available to advise in person (in our office (also called JD)), per email (stv.mathematik@oeh.univie.ac.at) or on the phone (01-4277-19660).

Students’ representatives’ work?

What do we (the Roter Vektor Mathematik) do?

  • Plenum: A weekly open meeting in which we discuss everything that needs to be done or talked about.
  • StuKo, FaKo, CurrAg, TenureTrack: Committees we are a part of with different responsibilites.
  • Erstitut-planning: Weekly meetings for first semester students, which we organize.
  • Party-planning: We plan different kinds of events for students. Those happen once or twice a semester.
