What is that?
The Mensapickerl (canteen sticker) of the ÖH Uni Wien is a sticker for your u:card, with which you get a €2 discount on all menu meals in some participating cafeterias.

Where is it available?
1-2 weeks after the beginning of the semester, the Mensapickerl is available in our office during counselling hours, while supplies last. Alternatively (or when we run out of them), the cafeteria sticker can be picked up in the General Information Center of the ÖH Uni Wien.

Requirements for the Mensapickerl
The canteen sticker is only given out to students “in need”. In order to qualify, one of various criteria has to be met.
Some of the possible reasons that make you eligible for a Mensapickerl are:
- Austrian Study Grant
- Social assistance through the ÖH (Austrian National Students’ Union)
- BAföG (German Study Grant)
- Having to pay tuition fees
- Having limited working hours (“Arbeitszeitbeschränkung”)
- Unemployment benefits
- Basic benefit (“Mindestsicherung”)
- Self-supporting student grant
- Sickness/maternity benefit
- Single parents
- Asylum seekers
- Refugees
- Students from third countries (according to the University of Vienna)
